Dr Collison is a highly distinguished medical practitioner with over 25 years of clinical practice as a general and cardiothoracic surgeon. Born and brought up in Bangalore, he completed his medical training at Christian Medical College, Vellore. During his stellar clinical career he has been associated with numerous good hospitals and has held senior posts with Max Healthcare and Fortis Healthcare, along with maintaining close relationship with CMC Vellore. He has also experienced international tertiary care hospitals with stints in Dhaka, Hamburg and Vienna.
He is the author of more than 20 international publications ranging from case reports to clinical trials and has co-authored a book chapter on Robotic Cardiac Surgery. He has a keen interest in the application of big data to solve healthcare problems and is at heart an epidemiologist and social medicine specialist. He is also an accomplished sportsman, most happy on the basketball court.
