Bindu Ananth heads screening operations & public health for Niramai. Prior to this, she worked in financial services for over 15 years. She was part of the founding team of ICICI Bank’s micro finance division which launched several pioneering products to emerge as a market leader in rural, agri and micro lending. Subsequently, she co-founded Dvara Trust, an innovative financial inclusion platform best known for its unique wealth management approach to serving rural customers. She continues to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of Dvara. Bindu was selected as one of India’s leading women leaders by Forbes in 2017.
Bindu has an under-graduate degree in Economics from Madras University and two Masters degrees, from the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) and Harvard University. She has co-edited a book titled “Financial Engineering for Low-Income Households”
Bindu has played an active policy role. She was a member of the RBI’s Committee on Comprehensive Financial Services (2013), the Government of India’s High-Level Committee on Women (2014) and is a serving member of a Taskforce of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India.
